Indoor Home & Garden

During the summer of 2009, we were privileged to participate in a local home and garden event.  A woman’s group from a nearby church hosted the weekend event and wanted the gym, where most of the events were to take place, to have a very fresh and homey feel.  Led by StonePetal Landscape, LLC, we helped transformed the gym into a miniature backyard setting complete with a center water feature, statues, and a number of trees.

It was a wonderful opportunity to bless the woman of the church and their guests.  As a part of the weekend experience, all of the items set up were auctioned off, with the proceeds going to charity.  The event was so successful that most everything was purchased, including the fescue grass.

Clean up

You can compare by this last photo the amount of work that went into setting up for the home and garden.  Because we brought in sod, a water feature, and hardscape materials, it was imperative to take precaution and not damage the gym floor.  You can see in the cleanup image that there was a layer of 8 mil plastic and then a layer of black fabric that everything sat on.

This was a fun and unique job.  Typically, you don’t tear apart a landscape job after you complete it.  But this job was worth the tear down.  For more pictures on the home and garden project, please click this link here.
